Saturday, January 17, 2015 - 90's Cali Cab and the Kitchen Sink (Ursino in Union, NJ): Loved this. Just such a great dessert wine and somehow it always seems like D'Yquems are in a league of their own. It's not the best vintage by any stretch, but it is lovely. I think I put redemption in a glass after how poorly the Dunn showed earlier in the night. Caramel, butterscotch, decent acidity (this is where I think it lacks from some of the better vintages, but still well ahead of the other competitors). Beautiful wine. Paired particularly well with a Butterscotch semifreddo.
