Monday, April 7, 2014 - We enjoyed a flight of 2004 Biale Zins (04 Aldo's, 04 Old Crane Ranch, 04 Grande Vineyard, 04 Monte Rosso and 04 Black Chicken). The wines, not bad, were not impressive outside the Monte Rosso. It was a baby and had years ahead of it. The Black Chicken was number 2 and the most jammy of the group. Grande Vineyard was showing burnt brown sugar and Aldo's was balanced buy uninspiring. The Old Crane Ranch was more bad amarone than anything else. Not appealing at all.
