Wednesday, December 31, 2014 - Deep yet clear reddish purple color with a nose of dark fruits, menthol, vanilla cream and a meaty component. A rich spicy shiraz with notes of black plums, blue berries, blackberries, tobacco, menthol, stewed beef, mocha and a nice mineral finish. Quite different since I last had this a few years back. Apparently it has become much more mellow and seems to have shed some of its juvenile fruit-dominated characteristics since I last tried this. Nonetheless, this a tasty wine still has plenty of life in it.
