88 Points

Monday, August 26, 2013 - Begins with an earthy sauvage character, but once it opens up, the wine exhibits delicate notes of rose petals, sour cherries, and strawberries. A bit flat on the midpalate. And a sharp acidity rounds out the finish. Extended aeration, however, strips the wine of its fruit and what's left is a bit too shrill. While I like this wine very much at this stage, and think the cut would work well with some food, I'm not sure this is going to get any better. So my recommendation would be to drink this in the near term.
