Friday, April 27, 2012 - Tasted alongside 1995 Chateau Margaux and 1998 Vega Sicilia and it outshone both these illustrious wines with ease. Sweet blackcurrant fruit is prominent then the 3% Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend perfectly offsets this with a palatial elegance. Incredibly long finish. I don't have much experience of tasting older vintages of Grange but I'm assuming it may still benefit from another few years cellaring and possibly warrant a perfect score.
