Sunday, May 24, 2009 - 12.5%. I have had this several time and I poured this last of the four. It felt like coming home. Warm and comfort. M trying to not be bias, but can't find any reason to deny this is my favourite of the four bottle by at two notches. Opaque purple colour with bouquet of chocolate, creme de cassis, blackcurrant, pencil lead, and dark red cherries. A lot more dimension and notes when compared to the others. Mid-weight plummy fruit and expressive, complex secondary flavors of mushrooms, tobacco, and herbs. Long finish, still high tannins, wonderful sweetness, massive richness on the mid-palate, and abundant power, density, and ripeness. Glad that I have more of this beauty. It would be brilliant idea to pit this against 1989, 1990 and 2000. Anyone game for this vertical of finest Lynch Bages?
