Sunday, June 16, 2013 - From 375. Showing some maturity at the disc with a deep robe. Nose takes a long time to open - takes two hours to really show up and three to open. Dark fruits, coffee, chocolate; the oak is still integrating. Picks up just a little lavendar and orange peel. What a polished nose. The palate is rich, seamlessly balanced. Shows some ash. Reminds me of a stylistic mix between the '89 and the '90, if not as impressive as either. This is just barely coming into its drinking window from half bottle - it'll take another 5-10 years to really show its potential. Excellent Pauillac.

That's why we're here, aren't we?
To age with our bottles...and to drink them all before die :-)
