Tuesday, May 12, 2015 - Decanted 90 mins prior to serving. Lively ruby red with the usual bricking on the edge for a wine this age. Powerful nose of lead pencil, cedar and cassis, later mellowing into a more seamless bouquet of mint, leather, tar and fruits. Very long juicy finish with acidity and tannins still in abundance. A defining performance from this '96.
