Saturday, April 16, 2011 - From 375. Deep amber color. The nose is straight summertime. Peach and apricots- in season. Medium bodied.
What a fascinating bottle of wine. I haven't tasted much Viognier with residual sugar, but it is a mind bender. Tuscan melon, honey, pear and apricot with the edginess of Viognier lurking about. Medium to long finish.
Many other CT tasters have found this over the hill, I found this much more interesting and enjoyable once it warmed a bit and got some air. I'm counting myself lucky to have had a good bottle.
