Saturday, August 28, 2010 - One of the best Dead Arms I've tasted to date. Opaque inky purple color. Aromas of cassis, cedar, leather, tar and some subtle caramel notes. The same elements are abundantly present in this wines palate. This wine is a well balanced, completely integrated full bodied wine that does not come off as overly heavy. I don't drink too many Aussie Shirazs anymore, they're usually way too fruit forward for me nowadays, but whenever I dig a bottle of Dead Arm out of the cellar, I never fail to enjoy it.
