96 Points

Saturday, February 24, 2007 - Opened up my 4th bottle of this wine, (no 3 was corked) and with 1 hour decanting, it was lovely. Beautiful blackberry fruit on the nose with some camphor and cassis. The palate was silky and smooth with pure blackberry flavours and black licorice notes being the most pronounced. The wine was seemless and smooth shedding some of the disjointedness it exhibited at a younger age. It is well made, has a corpulent texture and is a surprisingly pure and clean wine and a real treat to drink. Much more open than the last two times I had it. Alough years from its prime, it was nice nonetheless with Moussaka and an Italian broccolli-egg salad. 96 points.
