Sunday, April 29, 2007 - Drank at Greedy Goose with Andi and Dave. Decanted 1hr. This would have to be one of the best examples of a McLaren Vale Shiraz I have ever had. In the same mould as the '98 this wine is in perfect balance, with neither the fruit concentration or the use of oak over the top. It is also a wine which you could happily drink half a bottle of and not be sick of. While I don't quite think it lived up to RP's rating of 98 it's not far off!!!
Although still a baby, with a bit of air the '01 Dead Arm is drinking superbly now. I think it has a decade left (easy!)
