Community Tasting Note

Wednesday, April 23, 2014 - A tight nose of dark fruit, with some floral tones emerging. The wine is viscous, almost the consistency of young port, still darkly colored with no sign of aging. Better on the second day, but still remarkably monolithic, yielding still tannic bright fruit and heavier meaty flavors, only hinting at complexity now. Small sips show the wine better at this stage. Didn't expect to say it, but this wine seems to need more time in the bottle.
