Friday, May 2, 2014 - Tasted with WEST Level 3 class. Deep garnet in colour. Pronounced intensity nose dominated by violet, licorice and clove along with lavender, black cherry, bramble, blueberry, black currant, black grape, strawberry, fig, sultana, smoke, charred wood, leather, mint and eucalyptus. High acidity, high tannins and full bodied. Black fruit, licorice, nutmeg, clove, cedar, vanilla, kirsh, chocolate, smoke and mint on the palate. Long finish. Many more years left on this wine - outstanding!
