But after 5-6 hours of breathing in a giant decanter, the tannins had softened enough to reveal concentrated red and dark berry flavors as well as graphite and mocha. The nose seemed closed but I had a bit of a cold. Honestly I couldn't think of a better wine at $45. Actually for me I don't think i've ever had anything better in any price range.
