Sunday, June 8, 2014 - What a bottle. Over many years, we have had spectacular bottles of this in its youth, and yet many have met an early demise with corks that showed far too much ingress. It has been considered gone for quite some time. This cork was unreal, a 1/16th inch flush soak mark, and a color to match that has not gone full golden honey and retains amber hints. This began a little hollow on the palate and positively bloomed in the glass adding weight by the second. At full bloom, rich orchard fruits, lively lemon and citrus to cut, and the signature finish of ginger and spice that lives on the palate for days while complimenting your seared tuna and herbed vinaigrette. A very special wine, and a very lucky bottle. Cheers Josh.
