Friday, September 21, 2012 - On first opening - whoa!, this is pretty stinky: faint brett, horsey, soiled barn stall, no sign of fruit whatsoever. But, with just a few more minutes in the glass (w/out any swirling) some bright red fruits, spice, iodine, sour milk, bay leaf, oregano and red licorice notes begin to appear. And in just a few more minutes, this thing has me completely sucked me in, and I'm loving it. Some of the tn's had me a bit worried that this might be less than enjoyable, or perhaps mediocre at best, well, I got one of the good bottles, this is on point and getting better with each minute in the glass. Good toward very good.
