Saturday, September 6, 2008 - When we first opened it, lots of tannins, and we could hardly taste the fruit. Obviously this wine will be around for a while. Decanted for about 45 minutes, and got fabulous softness, but still with background. Lots of raisiny stewed cherries, but did not taste the heat of the alcohol that some have mentioned. Definitely from a very hot vintage.
