Friday, August 1, 2014 - Opened as second bottle for the evening, following a Ribera del Duero...

Been a year since last bottle, perhaps performing a better this time. Definitely funky on the open, benefits from 30+ minutes in air, and start. After the funk blows off, nose was pine/forest floor, faint dark fruits.

Consistent with prior notes: palate of plums, dark fruit, spice, floral/lavender, stony minerality. Pepper and spices. Medium finish. Restrained, elegant and unique for an Aussie Shiraz. Drink over next 3-5 years
