Sunday, July 6, 2014 - I love the 1978, but have never seen the 1977 before. Big, leather + tobacco nose, barnyard, earth; savory animal and dried flower petal on the mouth, big, hint of sweetness and classic Mouline finish. Although a little rough to start, this smoothed out with time. I preferred the raw energy in Syrah glass, my wife preferred the more integrated smooth taste of the Burgundy glass, either way this was surprising and excellent.
