Monday, November 19, 2007 - Dark purple and a firm nose of ripe dark fruit with some tar, smoke, and spice. Good firm entry and grip on the mid palate with a good sense of fruit, which was again, on the ripe and dark side, and not showing many layers of personality...short of monolithic. Framed well with a tannic structure that held it together in the middle and was even stronger on the finish...almost overpowering the fruit. Time in a bottle...
