2003 Ridge Zinfandel Lytton East

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Wednesday, June 19, 2013 - Saturated dark red color with some purple notes still present. Ripe aromas of blackberry, raspberry, vanilla, and blueberry. Palate shows dense blueberry and blackberry intiial fruit impression with some ripe raspberry and vanilla notes that come in later and an inky finish that features medium-gritty tannins with a bit of drying out. This is a big, long wine with plenty of intensity and it wears it alcohol well. Very concentrated and likely to go long in the bottle. Drinking well enough now, however. Drink or hold.
