Monday, May 25, 2009 - Highly extracted, juicy and unctious...almost port-like and explosively delicious, with aromas and flavors of boysenberry, brandied fruit, and dark chocolate, with slight hints of toasty oak on the finish. Heavy-handedly New World in its jammy style, but for New World afficionados this is a trememdously enjoyable wine. This was my second tasting of this wine, after a year (see May 2008 tasting note), and my impressions were consistent.
