Monday, April 20, 2015 - Double decanted with a minimal amount of sediment, deep opaque garnet bordering on black berry color. Cosidering the age and softness of the tannins on the palette, a strange degree of volatiles and alcohols on the nose. Otherwise, a beautiful palette of a variety of fruit....soft fruits of blueberry and casis without any tar or leather but a luscious and soft and subtle bouquet of fruit with a long round finsih. Very complex and evolving over the course of a simple dinner. What structure, integrity, complexity and depth of being. Violets and purple flowers will eventually bloom within the bouquet after dinner, ivy and herbes de provence with shades of euclyptus dappling through the veil...Bacchus says can drink now and enjoy immensely will hold well over the next five years; Ceres says drink now/soon as the light is casting a soft subtle yet wise filtered shadow of the brilliant light and intensity that previously sparkled in this wine in 2010. Elegant and mature.
