The nose and initial palate atttack show some evolution, but overall the wine is still fairly primary overall. The fruit is more restrained and some secondary character brings some focus to the wine. For me the oak was not intrusive here, and I find these start to shed oak sufficiently after 6-7 years. This was a nice example of older Alban but not a blockbuster.
