Monday, May 27, 2013 - Deep red. Leathery and fruty nose. The wine is sweet and for the vintage quite heavy. Flavors of pepper, cherries. All a bit "sirupy" and made. Overall a good wine as a food companion. Even though it is not my type of wine, I prefered this one over the highly acclaimed and opulent "2007 Châteauneuf-du-Pape "Vieilles Vignes" from Domaine de Cristia" which stood in the glass next to it.

Drink the Reva 1998 now as it reached full maturity
