Monday, September 5, 2005 - This wine is starting to come around after a couple of recent disappointments. On day one the nose was dominated by smokey, chocolate aromas. The mouthfeel was dense with bright currant and cherry. Half a bottle was left in the fridge for three days and emerged with rich charcoal, cassis on the nose. Intense black currant and chocolate flavors. Unfortunately, even after 3 days the finish is a little hot and disjointed - hopefully another 2+ years will smooth it out.
