1969 E. Guigal Hermitage

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Wednesday, July 29, 2015 - Perfectly stored half bottle. Garnet colored. Expansive aromas of black currant, coffee, tobacco and tar. Quite young with firm tannins, reads almost muscular on the palate. On its own, this would have been spectacular but it didn't have the haunting qualities of the Cote-Rotie Brune et Blonde from the same vintage. I know--what a problem to have.
