Friday, July 6, 2012 - Enjoyed a glass at Le Bernardin to start the evening off. In the glass, pale gold. On the nose, notes of apples, fresh rainfall, minerals, and secondary notes of mushroom and yeast. On the palate, bracing on the attack, quickly rounding out on the palate to become full-bodied, with citrus and apple notes, and an almost Chablis-like flinty note; however, the palate didn't have as much going on as the nose did. With said, still a very nice glass of champagne, just perhaps not giving as much as I was expecting.
