Wednesday, January 27, 2016 - Rating in line with others. Very good wine. Highlights on the palate, mostly. Very smooth and balanced there, with that 'ethereal' aspect that we like to use from time to time to describe Burgundies. The aromatics are a lesser side-show -- some over-the-hill fruit and stewed aspects, with an occasional whiff of anise. Again, palate better and the fruit belies the aromatics. Not going to improve in this taster's view, and I'm glad we opened it when we did from an overall enjoyment perspective.
