91 Points

Friday, March 15, 2013 - Popped and poured, note is from a half hour after opening, allowed to breathe in a glass. Dark burgundy colour to a ruby rim. Opaque at the centre. Aromas of dried cherries, prunes, crushed blackberries, dried herbs, dried flowers, worn saddle leather, and a touch of alcohol. Medium-full bodied with prunes, minerals, black licorice, dried cherries, and a hint of tomato stem. Moderate-long finish, 35-40s, with more prune and dried cherry notes. Everything is in balance, and tannins are completely integrated. Very tasty, and I don't see any room for improvement. 50% Sangiovese, 50% Canaiolo. 91 points. Drink now-2015.
