Sunday, July 7, 2002 - The generic village. A much deeper yellow here. Almost golden. Wonderful nutty bouquet. Hints of bark and honey. A serious mouthful. Yummy. Classy and elegant and very balanced. No gross over-oaking here - and no mashed banana. I love these stylish chardonnays. Long finish. Surprisingly serious for a village. Brilliant with the turbot.
