89 Points

Friday, February 1, 2013 - Sometimes, you open a bottle, and it serves to remind why we cellar wine. 2 previous bottles were corked, and two were mediocre at best (I generously rated them 85 and 86 pts) This bottle was entirely different. It smelled and tasted unquestionably like left bank Bordeaux. Minerally, fruit is pretty much gone, some cigar box and cedar. This was by no means long or profound, but satisfying in a way the the previous bottles never foretold. It wasn't a waste of cellar space after all. Drink up. 88-90 pts
