Tuesday, April 21, 2015 - This bottle of 1962 Cheval Blanc really surpassed my memories of the wine, bursting from the decanter with an utterly classic Cheval mélange of mulberries, menthol, gravelly soil tones, cedar and hints of leather. On the palate this is wonderfully focussed and pure, with bright acids, melted tannins and a really long and compelling finish. This particular bottle was in a wonderful place, vibrant and full of life!
