Friday, November 22, 2013 - 1985 Bdx lunch (Caprice, Hong Kong): Inviting nose of the best burgundian type (cherry, strawberry etc) but with clear Cheval terroir (ash, tobacco). Gorgeous balance, like all the best 85s these days. A medium body, but wonderful feminine texture on the finish with a rich (not too long but fantastic). Evolution in the glass was fascinating. Unfortunately this bottle faded faster than my last - perhaps not a representative as the capsule was very 'loose'. Great wine, albeit a disappointing bottle.
