Thursday, April 16, 2015 - Spice, white pepper and light funk on the nose with a background mustiness. Smooth and elegant. The nose for the first hour outperformed the score noted here. Dark cherry and light plum on the palate with a slightly acidic backpalate. Light spice well balanced with the remaining fruit. Palate faded significantly after 45 minutes. More subtle than the '47 at this point, still paired well with lamb t-bone. Definitely a drink now in 750 format.
