Thursday, October 24, 2013 - Recently acquired from a restaurant in Normandy this wine was as fresh as a trout. It had quite an expressive nose of raspberry, cassis, capsicum, cedar and smoke. It had good detail in the mouth with crisp berry fruits and just a hint of savoury development. It was mid-weight, lithe and crunchy and if served blind I suspect I would be guessing the wine was at least 20 or 30 years younger. A 60 pointer from RMP when he tasted in 1984 and suggested in 1998 that the wine is probably in serious decline. I thought the wine was tops.
