Thursday, May 20, 2004 - Brown with a reddish glow and a clear rim. Scents of mustard, wet wood and possibly urinal. Fortunately, this blew off with air. Nicely dense and oily with a delicious sweet fruit character, decent concentration and plenty of staying power, this wine showed no signs of fatigue. I had the wine in the glass for more than an hour, and it got better and better with each minute. A very solid Latour with an aftertaste that echo’ed out on mineral notes (almost like vitamin pills).
