Tuesday, February 14, 2012 - one of my first comments was that this is very close to a perfect wine, for what i was looking for. probably the closest to perfection that i'll ever be able to afford. initial nose was raw mushroom, and some red fruit. the palate had great purity of fruit. ripe cherries and a strong sweet orange that's surprising for how rich and earthy it is. as it opened up i got some demi glace, truffle, iron and more earth along with a herbal, floral note. And sweet sugar going to honey!
