Monday, January 7, 2013 - Very good QPR; technically (legally) a Cotes du Rhone, but in fact a very decent and well made Chateauneuf du Pape. Nice dark fruits (cherries!) with layers of herbs, tobacco and juicy meat. Fresh and still very youthful, but open, approachable and very pleasant. Will continue to be drinking well for quite some years, but I would not be surprised that - looking back after my last bottle - this bottle turns out to be one of the best experiences with this wine.
