Monday, February 25, 2008 - Nice nose, initially some slight funk but later it cleared into clove and candied sour cherry. Juicy body with sour cherries and slight underbrush with spicy mid palate and finish, lots of acidity and some tannins. Medium long finish, very tasty . It gets more body with decanting. Second day more candied cherry and only slight earthiness. Nice but I expected more complexity. Opened up with several hours in a glass, more raspberries and licorice and stronger acidity and tannic finish. Will age the remaining bottles a year or two. Nice wine.
