Tuesday, August 4, 2009 - Last bottle from my cellar tasted at Artists' Club claret lunch. It is said to be the poor man's Mouton Rothschild. I have been unfortunate in 82 Mouton which I might regard as the pauper's Lynch Bages. Decanted 2 hours. Hard sediment. Huge impact of fruit. This persisted on the palate with tannins merely in support. The only one to come near in the lunch was Pavie 1982.
