1982 Château Lynch-Bages

Community Tasting Note

90 Points

Tuesday, February 15, 2011 - Almost the contradictory experience to it's course-mate. This wine lives by reputation. Take the ’82 label out of the equation, what you have is a good – getting close to the end of its life – Pauillac that is pleasing but in no way memorable. Touch of amber on the rim, the nose is classic berry and meat mixed with secondary nuance. Finer than the bottle tasted over the holidays. Savory, but falls away far to quickly to be a great wine.
