Showed better than the 1983 Palmer tasted next to this.
Very mature nose, wet hay, mushrooms, currant, touch of stable, forest floor, earth and leather, with a touch of spicy tobacco leafs and cedar wood.
Palate shows soft and silky red and black currant, wet forest floor, tobacco, touch of herbs and cedar.
Fruit is dying and falling off, leaving an old gentleman-like, silky, velvety wine, with a very light body.
Still alive, although on its way downhill I should say.
