Thursday, June 17, 2004 - Dinner at Château des Alpilles. Out of the bottle the nose provided a stunning blast of green notes with dominant green tobacco, olive, bay leaf and dill. The palate is mineral driven and dusty. The wine is nicely balanced but also very tannic and closed right now.
