Lost all the edge up front and the rough tannins on the finish. Smoothed out beautifully and showed great depth and complexity. Had been drinking the 2000's for several years and really enjoyed them - wondered how the 2001's could have gone so wrong the first few bottles I'd tried of this. But in another few years, I think the 2001's will be better - just needs more time.
