Monday, October 22, 2007 - An evergreen forest in a bottle. Lovely pine and cedar smells, alongside bright cherry licorice and autumn smokiness. Yes, a great autumnal wine. I could roll around in that smell. Woodsy on the palate too, plus ripe red fruit, with good structure and a medium finish. Very expressive. Decanted for about 45 minutes, and when this thing hits the sweet spot of the right air/temperature combo it positively explodes.
