On the palate impressions of cigar box, earthy notes and most importantly farmyard. Soft tannins. No fruit left. Still a very elegant wine accompanying beef tenderloin very well. This vintage was better a few years ago, however. I anticipate (hope) this was an outlier; if not it is time to drink up within 1-2 years.
