Thursday, September 9, 2010 - Dark ruby, garnet edged. Plummy nose with thyme, dill and vanilla notes. Acids a little bit forward, not sour though. Plenty of plum and cherry fruit, and a great match for our potato-borlotti bean soup tonight. A good showing for a 20 year old zin. Another '89 that lasted well. Decent finish. Bottle #3 of three.
