Saturday, February 27, 2016 - Wow, this is pretty bad. The nose gave me a bit of hope, with some smoked meat and blackberry notes which were nice enough for me to ignore the alcohol, then I tasted it. Initially, you get hit with a candied grenache-like sweetness on the tip of your tongue, which quickly turns to a dusty tar-like bitterness and any notion of fruit, or any other pleasant flavor, falls off a cliff and you are left with a lingering bitterness and a dose of alcohol. If this took human form, it would be an obscure 80's metal band singer that needs backup singers to hit any notes outside of the conversational range.
I remember this showing some interest a few years after release, but it just isn't good.
